Urban Renewal Needed

On viewing the obscenity of the films released of animals celebrating the death of the four American civilians the term Urban Renewal came to mind.
The US media was dominated by the story of four American security contractors who were attacked, burned, mutilated, dragged from the back of a car and hung from a bridge over the Euphrates River “like slaughtered sheep” by an angry mob in the Sunni Triangle town of Fallujah.
Fight fire with fire. Level the place. My idea of education being an answer falls on it’s face when confonted with this mindless savagry. Sometimes reeducation is best delivered by 7.62mm rounds at 2700 fps. Prance and smile now, you bastard.

  • Hear, hear, Kev.

Just when you start to think that there is some good in the Iraqi nation, these degenerates do this sort of thing.

Just as well I’m not the US president, there would be a smoking hole in the ground where Falluja used to be about now.

  • I agree. This is a war and it should be fought as such. Iraq should have been “conquered” in the same way Germany and Japan was before the process of rebuilding.

  • Well, what else can be said. Take out 400 for our 4. Seems fair. How interested do you think the fuckers would be then? Sorta like Hiroshima/Nagasaki. Let them know that decapitating, and burning foreign citizens is just not on. Even the Romans learnt this lesson. Peace through fear is still peace.

  • Yeah, I’m hearin’ you with my heart, Kev. The idea of an AC130 appearing overhead and turning their ‘party’ into a smoking funeral pyre is too attractive.

But think of the propaganda victory it would hand to Old Europe, John Fonda-Kerry and all the peace creeps who’d be screeching My Lai at the top of their lungs.

Revenge is sweet, but would only lose the hearts and minds campaign. As it stands, the death and desecration of those poor Americans has delivered a stunning back-hander to ratbags like Pilger and and Fisk, who now find their homoerotic adulation of ‘brave Resistance fighters’ more marginalised than ever. For a few days at least, the apologists for terror will have to tone down their self righteous empathy.

Were I in charge in Iraq, I’d be quietly ensuring that steps were being put in place to bring these animals to face their day in some sort of legitimate court, be it today, tomorrow or in five years time. It’s what makes our Western justice system, for all its faults, better than theirs. How pathetic and impotent did Samudra and Amrozi look at their trials? They came across as skinny, little dupes who were trying hard to put on a brave face. Not the sort of thing that young men looking for role models would really aspire to.

Responding in kind to this sort of primitivism will only play into the hands of the ‘Resistance’ (and, yes, those are sneer quotes). A well thought out and forceful but balanced response to this atrocity is the sort of thing that will send shivers of fear down the spines of the Arab rulers everywhere.

It’s going to be a long fight, as much against the ‘surrender now’ lobby in the West as against the terrorists and their sponsors. But showing that there are alternatives to reprisal warfare without end is the way to victory.

  • This is ridiculous and barbaric. We just need to take out the mosques – all of them – everywhere – worldwide
