Murder most fair

If Karen Brown had shot William Aquilina while he was bashing her she could claim self defence. To pursue him after the event and shoot him dead is murder plain and simple although mitigating circumstances may help in sentencing. Sad case all round and I’m sure the bastard got his just deserts but she needs to work on her modus operandi more>>

  • This is surely a mess. Who in their right mind could blame her for wanting to shoot the bastard? But on the other hand, to let her off scott free would set a dangerous precedent.
My heart is squarely with the women, however my brain disagrees.

  • I volunteer to be on the jury.
She would never spend a day in jail, and the family of the scumbag who bashed her would be billed for the cost of her bullet and cleaning the gun.

    Murder?- I call it justice.

  • A sceptic could say she should have never fired the gun, but it was Aqualina who controlled the course of events.

If he hadn’t of attacked her in the first place and showing fuck all concern for her well being, evident by the amount of facial fractures and gashes to her head, then no-one would have been shot, plain and simple.

Lets not forget that Karen Brown didn’t just walk out into the street and shoot just anybody for no reason, nor did she go to work with the intention of killing someone. Aqualina on the other hand had planned his actions and showed no regard for another persons safety.

While shooting the guy dead may not be the correct course of action, it does ensure Aqualina will not reoffend. He brought it all on himself.

  • Remember that the shooter was suffering from a fractured skull. It would be unreasonable to expect a person suffering severe head injuries to act in a wholly rational manner.
On the face of it, there’s room for reasonable doubt that she was in her right mind when she shot him. Whether ‘not guilty’ or ‘diminished responsibility’ is another matter, but the burden of proof should be on the prosecution.

  • Good point scott but Alan gives me more hope from a legal viewpoint. Fractured skull. Yes that’s it. Good defence.
