Corby Circus low act

How sad that someone in this country can stoop as low as sending a threatening parcel to the Indonesian Embassy. The lower end of the Corby Circus need to chill down a bit before irrepairable damage is done to the already fragile Australian/Indonesian relationship. Check here to see how far we have fallen. UPDATE: Arabnews raises a reasonable point in their take on the Corby/Indonesian Embassy obscenity UPDATE II: Conspiray theorists are asking “look to who benefits from deteriating Aussie/Indon relationships” suggesting it’s a JI plot. Not to sure about that one but anything is believable in the absence of evidence. The answer to “What is the source of the white powder” will be telling. It’s not exactly a supermarket item. Early days yet. UPDATE III: News.com have opened a comments page for people to have their say. Makes interesting reading

  • It really does seem that the great Aussie fear of the entire population of Indonesia invading may actually happen. Dig the trenches folks – it’s gonna get nasty.

  • Hey man, Just read over your site and I found it very informative. Your articles are well written and present both sides of whatever topic you are covering.

    Awesome.

  • I’m not at all convinced that Corby issue is at the heart of this despicable, Un-Australian act. The timing is just too sweet for words and I’m wondering just why the Australian Government would bother inviting Indonesian police personnel to Australia to help with the investigation. Surely we have sufficient bahasa speakers available without inviting a few more. I’m thinking maybe Achanese sympathisers?

  • Inviting Indon Police here seems to be a diplomatic move on our part. Makes them feel valued and in the loop and that is important at the moment. Any amount of movements could have reason to do this from the Corby circus through JI and Free Aceh but at this stage my feeling is a local idiot is involved – although I am worried about the source of the ‘powder’.

  • Peter, You’re welcome and so are your comments.

  • Good article from Arabnews, but lost me at the end. We make the distinction between the acts of a minority of people who happen to be Muslims, but they tar the majority of compassionate, professional soldiers with those of the criminal few. Good find.
